Religious Motivated Killings (JOS, Nigeria)

With the population of Christians and Muslims each in excess of 1 billion people; for some Christians to think that they can one day wipe out the entire one billion Muslim population is an exercise in futility and vice versa. Even if for some reason the hope of some Muslims to to wipe out the entire one billion Christians come to pass, the Muslims to rid the world of 'infidels' need to wipe out another 4 billion people comprising the Hindus, Budists, Shintors ,Krishinas, pegans, aetists and who else; and even if this is possible and then only leaving the Muslims alone there are still problems on ground; the Muslims are devided majorly into Sunnis and Shites so one croup must wipe off the other group in order to have only 'true' faithfuls! If it were some Christian that hope to wipe out all the Muslims and others they would still be faced with the major division in Christiandom, the Catholics and the Protestants. So one group must also wipe off the other group. Come to think of it since when did God in his majesty has to rely on mere humans to kill whom he does not want to live? If God has wanted his religion to be one and only one which human being is saying it was impossible for God to do?

It is time that all hot headed religious fanatics realize that how or what you want to worship is entirely for your own individual's benefit and has nothing whatsoever to benefit other citizeen of the country or even your own child.. Your worship is your own private affair but building respective countries with peace and sustained progress not only is of benefit to the individual wellbeing but it enhances the wellbeing of all other citizeens despite their religious affiliation! The world is a safer place if you keep your religion to your self and who ever you are able to convince to your way of thinking in a peaceful way since no matter what you think religiously and orgaize it logically, you would no doubt get dedicated followers including worshiping of woods stones  trees rocks and the sun or moon!

Anytime America’s omnipotence is challenged by a rising word power, despite the fact that it has always invested heavily in the education of its citizens; America always resort to more investment into education of its youth. They did follow the same strategy when Russia was apparently beating the US in the space race and now again they are following the very same strategy as regard the ‘treat’ posed by the ever rising profile of the Chinese in the recent time.

In Nigeria with our precarious educational profile instead we are investing less and less, I  have often wonder who we intend to ‘lead’ with our ridiculous educational profile; where a fresh graduate can barely compose few correct sentences not to talk of mastery of core professional areas! However, that is a tip of what the world knows about the woes of the inhabitants of the Niger Delta and Igbos since the end of the Nigeria civil war. The book, “THE EXPENDABLES” is chronicling the checkered journey of the Igbos and Niger Delta inhabitants from pre-colonial time to the infamous civil war which loss by the Igbos and Niger Delta inhabitants laid the foundation for this deliberate unparallel environmental degradation. The book showed how and why the peoples’ resources were taken over by a military fiat followed quickly by sustained De-intellectualization of the vanquished people in addition to sustained ethnic and religious killing of the same vanquished people by some other ethnic groups. However, it was not only tales of woes the book explored vital areas the Niger Delta area can be revitalized economically socially and politically and I sincerely believe that those solutions would also be vital solution to the challenges facing us as a nation. With these solutions Nigeria may again move on in the part of sustained growth. -THE EXPENDABLES!

The book also dealt with the effect of sustained looting of the nation’s resources on the overall development of the nation and why the nation has come to the threshold of being openly referred to as a possible failed state despite the considerable resources the nation has.

The consequences of delay or outright failure to develop the nation while petroleum wealth hold sway were also explored in dept by the Nigeria question and concluded with what must be done to move Nigeria forward economically and politically.
